This is where I am compiling the actual story of Big Mech, a story set in the Universe TTRPG universe, taking inspiration from the Lancer TTRPG rules, and inspiration from the backdrop of very cool science fiction and my own love of worldbuilding. Big Mech is a tentative name so far, as there is only one plotline currently in development that utilizes mechs.
Big Mech is centered around the the planet Marrgen in the Thuwasik System. As of writing there is one story that takes place in Inshelyo, one in Mahes, and one in Tychon Station. Inshelyo and Mahes are 2 of several nations on Marrgen, but they are the two that the Universe TTRPG leaves open for the GM(Overlord in the perlance of Universe) to do with as they please.
These stories are made for adults, and will likely contain material unsuitable for all audiences. Also, keep an eye open for new locations and new stories. I dropped a plotline for the Inshelyo Military Mech competitions and training, and swapped it for the Tychon 3 crew, so new sub-projects could begin at any time, further fleshing out this Universe(As I see it)
The bright and media-forward nation of Inshelyo is the entertainment capital of the Thuwasik system, and their productions prosper in the wider galaxy-wide market. Their military fits their flashy exterior with huge gundam-like mechs designed for terrestrial or stellar combat. Their mech force is both sport and propoganda. While somewhat effective, the idea of facing on known larger than life mechs dissuades overt actions of it's neighbors. Underneath the bright exterior are labs buried deep within Marrgen and floating throughout the system. With their close ally Mahes they're one of the only two nations fully independant of the Dominion of Tredurik.
Becca
This story contains prejudice, plot-releveant sex, and murder. It follows Adenai and his sex-bot Becca as he accidentally makes her fully sentient, and she gets traumatized by his social outcasting.
Highly militarized, and primary export being labor, Mahes is a human capital powerhouse. Its a military dictatorship that sells labor to it's neighbors, and thats their outer brightness. Their interior is a military dictatorship from the President to the lowliest policeman. With their close ally Inshelyo they're one of the only two nations fully independant of the Dominion of Tredurik.
Starboy
This story contains slavery, police brutality, childhood sexual trauma (as inexplicitly as I can manage), and murder. It follows Starboy, a boy coming of age having escaped from his biological father who made him work in his vice ring, and looking for his biological mother, finding misfit friends along the way.
Tychon Station is a space station built on and around an asteroid floating near the interior edge of Gojan's Circlet, near the edge of the Thuwasik system. It is effectively a suburb to a superstation on the exterior edge of Gojan's Circlet that acts as a system port town.
Fellmech Industries
The Tychon 3 task force is a largely off-the-books project for Fellmech Industries. The team is required to design and build battle-ready mechs for their parent company. If they get found out they'll take the fall for Fellmech Industries. A businessman with a love of vests, a genius with a love of mechanical drones, an ex-military man with a love of mechs, an undocumented grease monkey who loves to do his own thing, an intern who invented ansible chess, and a janitor/in-house handyman.
